Thanks for visiting my blog.  My name is Kristina Eden. I have so much I would like to share with you. In my life’s path, I have been touched, influenced, inspired, and lifted by so many that I can call true friends. I am a mother of six amazing kids, 4 sons and 2 daughters. I have 8 grandchildren so far, and cheering for more. My husband, 2 dogs and I live in Bluffdale, Utah, a great place, where if you leave your front door open the neighbor’s goat comes for a visit.

Finding a Better Way to Health and Longevity

Have you ever said to yourself that you did not want to get old or sick? Or have you ever felt that you wanted to find the fountain of youth? I grew up in a situation where my mom was always sick. It seemed that she had every conceivable ailment known to women. It took so much from her in the form of energy, enjoyment, and longevity thus affecting every part of her life. She would struggle at work and when she returned home, would only go to bed. She very seldom seemed happy. As I watched her during this struggle, I so wanted to have a different life.  I had been told that a lot of what she suffered was genetic. Here we are back to the adage “There’s nothing you can do about it.” Well, that idea just didn’t work for me. I hoped, wished, and decided there was a better way to live. I spent most of my free time studying how the body works and how we can have health and a gratifying life with very little illness. And after a lot of research, I found success.

Aging Well: A Holistic Approach to Health

Unfortunately, I did grow old, but that doesn’t mean I feel old. My mother passed at a young age and I have successfully avoided all of her illness. My study has opened my eyes to view all aspects of health including physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. All of them affect our whole being, and therefore, our life essence. I did not have a chance to help my mother improve her quality of life, but I can you.

The Health Wheel: Balancing Your Well-Being

Below is a wheel depicting us, and our health. All aspects of our being need to be healthy for us to be at our optimal health level. Look at the wheel and consider the eight areas. The very center of the wheel represents 0. The outside of the wheel represents 10. If for example you ate a lot of sugar or had the unhealthy habit of very little sleep, then you would mark the toxin section maybe at a 5. This would make that portion of the wheel short or have a hole. The more range of numbers the more uneven the wheel. Continue around the wheel with each topic marking from 0 -10. Now imagine driving on that wheel. Is your wheel very bumpy or can it get high-centered?

It’s like having your fountain of youth. I for one do not want to live forever. Yet while I am alive I want to feel alive.
